One of my fav parts of being a missionary is how closely I get to work with the Holy Ghost.
Here are a couple examples of that this week:
- we were walking at night and a lesson that we had just fell. And we were on our way to grav some food and head home. But I felt like we needed to randomly knock a couple doors. And the first door I stopped at turned out to be a member! So we entered and set up a visit for today with some friends we are teaching nearby at her house. And today during the lesson we set a baptismal date with one of them!
- again we were walking, this time with a 16 year old guy from our ward. We were visiting some people, and I got the thought to visit our friend Pastora. So we stopped by, had a great lesson, and programmed a baptismal date with her! And later in the week we were far away from her house but I felt we needed to visit, and sure enough when we passed by, she was going through a very difficult time and we could help her feel peace.
It's interesting because it wasn't a loud pressing thought each time. It felt like a natural thought come to my mind. But with marvelous results. I can't deny that it's the Holy Ghost. I marvel every night over the miracles that occurred in the day. I testify that this is God's work, that through the Holy Ghost I can be an instrument in the hands of the Lord my God. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
