Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!!
It's been a couple hectic weeks and my preparation day has changed around a lot.
Some quick updates:
- had lots of service, from making Christmas cards, to having a big dinner with women that have been abused, to cleaning homes, to baking.
- there was an earthquake that happened. It was a 6.7, really cool! I was outside and saw buildings, trees, telephone poles, cars, the ground all shake! It sounded like 1000 horses running by! Made me feel tiny.
- had lots of Christmas parties from home to home or at church. We had a big one with a lot of other missionaries and I got to see a lot of my friends!
- at our Christmas Sunday church service the ward wanted to do a polar express themed meeting tied into Christ. And so they have everyone tickets at the door, and at the second door me and my comp stood there to punch the tickets haha. That was fun. Then at lunch with members a couple days later we were talking about Christmas movies, and one of the sister missionaries asked if they had seen the polar express. Then they started teasing her that she hadn't paid attention in church. But she laughed so it was all in good fun.
That's about all!! I hope every one had a very merry christmas and happy holidays!!
Spiritual thought: Isaiah 9:6
"6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Question of the week: How did you focus on Christ in your actions during this Christmas season?
Love you all!! Merry Christmas!!
